Not all M.2 SSDs fit every enclosure. This article helps you identify which Sabrent enclosures support NVMe, SATA, or both.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Identify Your SSD Type
   NVME SSDs use M.2 PCIe.
   SATA SSDs use M.2 SATA.
2. Check Enclosure Specifications
   • NVMe-only enclosures support M-key.
   • SATA enclosures support B-key or B+M.
   • Dual-protocol enclosures support both.
3. Verify Size Compatibility
   Most enclosures support 2230/2242/2260/2280 lengths.

Troubleshooting Notes

• A mismatch (NVME drive in SATA enclosure) will not show up at all.
• PCIe Gen4 SSDs work but may throttle to Gen3 depending on enclosure.
